Sheila Romanski- Founder and Executive Director
Sheila Romanski has worked full-time most of her adult life while mothering three sons and a daughter, all of whom are sports active. She and her husband Andy of 37 years have four adult children. Sheila’s faith is important to her and she enjoys holiday get-togethers and sports events with family. While busy caring for her four small children in 1996, Sheila was first diagnosed with breast cancer, then underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. A year later an inoperable tumor was found in her neck and Sheila had a stem cell transplant. Eight years later, she was diagnosed and treated for skin cancer. Then in 2008 she found out her breast cancer was back and had a mastectomy, a four-time survivor and admittedly “a miracle walking,” today her passion is to help others as she was helped during her multiple journeys with cancer. By founding Crystal Roses, Inc. Sheila’s dream is to make a difference and inspire women and children by giving them hope, encouragement, love, prayer, and support.
Tosha Pesic – CRyouth Director
My name is Tosha Pesic and I am a cancer survivor! I am married with two beautiful girls and they were my reasons to fight the battle that I began fighting in March 2016! I was blessed by Crystal Roses with a Comfort Tote after I was diagnosed with cancer and was so thankful for how much it helped me during my journey. In November 2016, Crystal Roses announced they wanted to expand their outreach to include children in and around our communities dealing with cancer or other similar illnesses. I knew right then and there that I HAD to be involved and use my love for children and experience as a teacher for Crystal Roses. I had no idea that in just a few short months I would be the one launching CRyouth! I am so thankful to God for the opportunity to be on this new journey with Crystal Roses. I can’t wait to see what He has planned for Crystal Roses and for the growth of CRyouth.
Deeny Martinez – CRsupport Director
My name is Deeny Martinez. I am married and have 7 children and 4 grandchildren. I was the recipient of a Comfort Tote from Crystal Roses after my breast cancer diagnosis in April 2015. I was so touched by the gifts of comfort, hope, and encouragement I received that I wanted to know more about how to get involved. I wanted to be able to give to others the same comfort, hope, and encouragement I had received. I knew it was exactly where God wanted me as soon as I met the women behind the totes. The heart, hard work, dedication, and mostly the love that these women put into the totes is amazing. These women not only fill the totes with items to help the physical aspects of the disease, they are also available to help support the mind, heart, and the spirit as well. I too wanted to be one of these women. I wanted to be part of Crystal Roses. Nothing is ever wasted in God’s economy. I knew God would use my journey to share and help others on a journey of their own. Now I have the opportunity to do just that as the Hostess for the Crystal Roses Social Club, our support group that meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
